Captain - Michael A. Rauh, MD

Captain Mike is a lifetime resident of Western New York.  Born in Olean, NY and living on the shores of Lake Erie, Capt. Mike has always been on the water.  He participated in and passed the New York State – Safe Boating Course under the age of 10.  His fishing skills were featured in the Great Lakes Fisherman magazine at age 12.  He has had his own boat since age 10 and has fished the waters of Lake Erie, Niagara River, and Lake Ontario every year since then.  On average, Mike has spent between 150-200 hours on the water every season since age 10.  His experience is truly unsurpassed.  

Capt. Mike is a member of the Eastern Lake Erie Charterboat Association and his boats exceed all USCG inspection requirements. You can take confidence in members of this organization as we are an association of professional, USCG Licensed charter captains. All of the members of the ELECBA participate in random drug testing and meet/exceed USCG specifications for your safety. Capt. Mike is also a Lake Erie United Certified Captain.

When not on the water, Capt. Mike is often found in the woods and streams of Western New York.  He is an avid outdoorsman who focuses on bowhunting, archery, and game management.  He enjoys guiding turkey and deer hunting experiences and personally owns approximately 150 acres of land in Zoar Valley; Springville, NY.  He has guided steelhead fly-fishing trips for himself and friends for many years and accesses both public and private streams and tributaries of Lake Erie and Ontario.

Capt. Mike has completed his US Coast Guard approved course to work as a 100 Ton Licensed Masters Captain with towing credentials.  As well, Mike currently possesses lifetime “New York State DEC - Sportsman and Bowhunting” licenses; and is enrolling in the New York State – Guide Credentialing program.
